The Tipica Messiez premiered at the 2019 Philly Tango Festival.
Típica Messiez is an authentic Argentine tango orchestra comprised of renowned tango musicians. Under the musical direction of its founder and pianist, Emiliano Messiez, Típica Messiez plays both original and classic tango arrangements. If you dance tango, you’ll be up on your feet all night long; if you enjoy listening to tango, you’ll find that your toe just won’t stop tapping. This is the perfect orchestra for tango dancers and music aficionados alike. Energy, rhythm, great arrangements, and a broad range of dynamics will make Típica Messiez your new favorite tango orchestra.
The Típica Messiez will perform on both Saturday and Sunday nights of our festival. A quartet from the orchestra, also under the direction of Eimiliano Messiez, will perform on Friday and Monday nights.
Yes, that’s right! LIVE MUSIC EVERY NIGHT!
Some of the musicians will be available for private lessons on their respective instruments during the festival. Instrumentalists should contact [email protected] to schedule.
